In addition to fabricating marine hardware, our shop has built some of the finest aluminum yachts and workboats available today. The large 85′ by 150′ by 22′ high steel building provides the capability for us to build & service boats of almost any size. Recent projects include a 28′ and 33′ landing craft, an innovative 26′ pilothouse, and a 23′ center console.
See some of our recent projects below.
The LMF 28′ Landing Craft was built for commercial purposes. The Aluminum hull and drop-down bow door, allows for easy beaching on less than desirable coastlines and allows the operator to easily unload equipment. The 28′ was built for the Anderson County fire department in South Carolina, so this boat had a built in water tank and pump so a hose can be connected for fire fighting operations.
LMF 28 Landing Craft
The LMF 33 Landing Craft was designed with commercial use in mind. The aluminum hull allows for operators to land the boat on rocky beaches without worrying about damaging the hull, while the wide open bow acts as the perfect work space.
LMF 33 Landing Craft
The LMF 26′ Pilothouse was launched in August of 2023. Designed for the USGS, it features numerous customized details for specific survey operations, including a flooded transducer well on the aft centerline.
LMF 26 Pilothouse
Introducing the LMF 22 which was launched at the beginning of the summer for buoy and waterway maintenance operations in the lakes of Maine. Despite it’s relatively small size, the boat routinely carries a cargo of 2500lbs consisting of buoys, anchors, and chain.
LMF 22 Buoy Tender
The LMF 23 was built for Cianbro Construction which specializes in dock and bridge repair. These vessels needed to be stable enough to allow large crews aboard while also be very maneuverable in tight situations. Lyman-Morse Fabrication delivered 4 of these vessels. Designed by Response Marine.
The LMF 33′ Catamarans will be used in water taxi operations on Fire Island, New York transporting people from the mainland. Hull #1 was just delivered to Fire Island where it will be rigged and launched by early September. Hull #2 is currently under construction. USCG Approved.
