Thanks to our expertise in metal and composite fabrication, Lyman-Morse was contracted to construct a complicated architectural canopy structure for Baruch College in Midtown Manhattan. The canopy was engineered by RSD Engineering and functions as an architectural centerpiece with an integrated stainless steel gutter system to shield the building’s entrance from snow and rain.
The canopy utilizes an innovative construction technique that sandwiches an aluminum core and stainless steel skin together in one panel, resulting in an ultralight and extremely durable material. The completed project was presented in the summer of 2012.
We’ve since completed many architectural pieces and canopies for a variety of clients. Contact us to learn more.
